Helga Edwards MSW, co-author of the book “Addressing Domestic Violence in the Church,” plans to present information about how churches and individuals can identify and respond to domestic abuse.  This information is intended to help those who have suffered abuse, as well as those who hope to support people who have experienced violence.

Helga has been a Public Speaker and Counsellor since 1996. She has Bachelor’s degrees in Religious Education and Social Development Studies, as well as a Master’s degree in Social Work. She plans to speak from her professional training, and to include some helpful biblical principles in the presentation.

This is an information session; those in attendance will not be required to share any personal information.

This event will be held on Thursday, November 22, from 7-9 pm, at Country Hills Church, 1280 Ottawa St S, Kitchener, ON N2E 1M1.  There will be an opportunity for a free will offering.
